Live now, at the Sirius Decisions summit, this year themed "Return on Integration." We're at the Loewe's Lake Las Vegas resort with 240 other attendees, 61 percent marketing executives and 39 percent marketing. I'll post highlights from the presentations as new information comes available.
Rich Eldh starts off by enumerating the top five issues affecting sales and marketing today:
- Measurement and metrics
- Sales readiness
- User-generated content (under which he categorizes "custom sales content," something I don't quite understand yet)
- Field Marketing 2.0 - the strategies, process and technologies that are the enablement of the integration between sales and marketing
- Investment - more money needs to be invested in making organizations more productive
